Baumerts Wood Shavings officially began in 2004, but has a history much deeper. The late Oscar Baumert Jr. began selling kiln dried wood shavings around 1984 with an over-supply of wood shavings from his dairy farm. Oscar began selling kiln dried wood shavings in bulk and in bags with his wife, Marilyn, and his children. Over the years his small sole proprietorship blossomed through hard work and a strong marketing concept.

Today the business is operated as a Limited Partnership by Marilyn Baumert and son, Michael Baumert. A reliable and consistent supply of wood shavings and a team of truck owner operators keeps operations at peak performance. Baumerts Wood Shavings delivers bulk-loose kiln dried wood shavings and bagged-baled kiln dried wood shavings to Pennsylvania and surrounding states to regular customers who buy on a consistent year around basis.
